related field, and you like to solve challenging real-world problems, or if you are an outstanding developer

Machine Insight helps companies
build prediction models from their data, using both standard and proprietary machine learning algorithms to analyze
very large data sets. The work will be intellectually challenging, involving a mix of machine learning algorithm design,
multi-core and distributed processing, API design, cloud computing, and solving a diverse set of business problems.
Computer Scientist / Machine Learning Expert
Ideal candidates will have a computer science degree, preferably a master's degree or higher, although candidates with a bachelor's degree and relevant experience will be considered. We are looking for individuals with some (or all!) of the following:
- A background in statistical AI and machine learning
- Experience with genetic algorithms and evolutionary computation
- Strong software design and development skills
- Strong analytic skills and familiarity with common analysis packages such as R
- Experience with EC2 and Unix
- Experience with database systems and very large data sets
- Familiarity with Java and Python
Developer, Technical Computing
If you are a strong developer and are looking to gain experience solving challenging problems using machine learning, please consider us. We mostly use Java and Python, along with R on occasion. If you know languages like Scala or Julia, great! Convince us. You should have a degree in computer science or have significant relevant experience. You will need to demonstrate the ability to understand machine learning algorithms. Your skills and experience should match some of the following:
- Strong software design and development skills, including writing multi-threaded multi-node Java code
- Use of Python for data analysis
- Experience with scripting and controlling servers and processes on AWS
- API design experience
- Deployment of SaaS solutions
- Strong analytic skills and some familiarity with packages such as R
- Database expertise. Experience with Spark is a plus.
